Hi
i have receive iboga from cameroon.
How long will keep iboga? it is in a hermetic bag, in cool, in the dark.
If not in the fridge is it better?

Hi iboga, iboga can stay for long in a ziplock bag in a dark and dry place.
I'd say years probably, I don't know if fridge is better, since you got to make sure it deosn't get humid or it might mold at some point.
Of course most alcaloids are even more stable if frozen.
But if you plan on using it in the year, keep it in the cupboard, in the airtight bag.
Iboga rootbark, or alcaloids are pretty stable as far I know.

In the bark or as a salt, they are more stable, but the freebases oxidize much faster if they are extracted from the plant.  When formed into the HCl salt, they are much more stable for much longer.  But what was mentioned is a great way to store it.  Dark, dry, cool, airtight seal, and they should last for years.

No, I mean that any alkaloid can be in a salt form (attached to an acid molecule) which will dissolve in water and be more stable, or it can be a freebase, which will dissolve in non-polar solvents (not in water), and will be less stable when exposed to elements.  Ibogaine HCl (hydrochloride) is the freebase ibogaine molecule joined to a hydrogen and chloride molecule.
