iboga and cold environments

A question for you experienced friends of the iboga.  Does this plant dislike winter and cold temperatures?

This is something that many people have noticed about ayahuasca.  It does its work best in warm climates or warm environments where the sympathetic nervous system is not aroused to defend the organism against the cold.  You must be relaxed the way you are when it's warm in order to benefit from the medicine.  I have a feeling iboga is similar, but I'd like to hear from people who know it well.
