Half a gram of TA isn't really a micro-dose, it's more of a medium-dose. In my experience iboga sucks a lot when you go halfway. It works best when you either do a full flood or do sub-threshold doses.

Anyway, maybe there are other things you can do to help mitigate your headache. Exercise, drink plenty of water...

Come to think of it, when I microdose iboga, I find my eyes burning and my head hurting... whenever I am using the computer. Maybe take a screen break for a while and see how you feel.

Kratom is an opioid. Have you tried it? It might help you. It's been used by many ex-addicts in this process.

Hi group.
I'm on a high dose of methadone 150mg
I scared of going cold turkey while flooding, think it's to high a dose.
But it's simply to big a mindfuck for me when I tap down.
Is it possible to take approximately  a third 1/3 my dosage and use microdosing of iboga to keep me on track.
Anyone have any experience in this?
Imagine to start with 40mg at morning 07:00 and at evening 16:00 take 1g iboga powder
Next day same thing and at the 5 day stop and if needed jump to 50mg and be psychological stable again.
An perhaps 5 days later do a flood dosage from 50mg to 0mg
I really need to get out before these methadone depressions get the better of me.

Hey! Hang in there. I have heard that, if you're on methadone, you need switch to a short-acting natural opioid FIRST (like poppies or kratom) BEFORE you wean off and then do iboga. I have heard that methadone and iboga is a dangerous combination, to have both in the body at once.

I have no experience with chemical drug addiction, so this is just hearsay for me. Hopefully some others will chime in.

Eboka Chat / Re: Iboga tea?

Thanks I really don't mind the taste. San Pedro is just as bitter, if not more. That I make into a tea. Adding lemon, brings out the alkaloids. I chewed about  .83 of a gram today. felt a numbing sensation in my mouth. Not really anything else? Still not sure how much to chew on my flood dose. I'm waiting for a few weeks for warmer weather because I am doing it in a cabin in the woods with a meditation buddy who is familiar with ayuaska, San Pedro and is a long time meditator. I also know a equidorian shaman who lives part time in my town who I will confer with.
Sounds good! If you don't feel anything from .83g within 24 hours (sometimes it's more pronounced at night), then your tolerance is probably high. 20-40g, maybe? I'm not an expert, here, maybe someone else can chime in, or you can look up dosages that people have used on

Thanks for the reply. I was given this info from the seller that says he's in Cameroon? I am 185 lbs and have chewed a small piece of bark to see what it tasted like and to see if it was real. I also made a small amount of tea that seems to make me a little more alert. The bark I have is shavings and powder at the bottom. Do you have experience in chewing the bark? I might have a higher tolerance. I use San Pedro from time to time. Isn't there a formula per body weight. You would just chew 10 grams of root bark?

It's good to get opinions from experienced people who aren't making money off you. That's a lot of iboga and he stands to benefit from your using a lot. Independent sellers from Africa can be sketchy. Ibogaworld is tried and true (in my book) as are a couple other vendors.

Chewing is the way to go. If you make a tea, you are chemically changing it, and I don't know what that'll be like. You might destroy some alkaloids, change others...

Some sellers (especially independent ones) sell Voacanga africana as Tabernanthe iboga, and it ends up screwing some people over.

Anyway, I have no idea what you got. Assuming it's true iboga root...

Just chew it, man. Nothin fancy.

This does not seem like the traditional Bwiti way. My understanding is that they just chew the bark, straight. There is no need to make a tea or do any fancy extraction. Your digestive system extracts the alkaloids just fine.

Also, that is  A LOT of iboga rootbark and TA, both. Have you done this before? Have you taken a test dose? What's your weight? I know people who will flood on just 10 grams of rootbark. People have varying sensitivities, and it's good to know yours.

I've noticed that we have a steady influx of members but not a lot of new discussion topics. It'd be great to hear from any of you about your experiences or desired experiences with iboga. Sure, there is the ibogaine facebook groups, but I think provides an especially safe environment for discussion about iboga and everything related.

Eboka Journals / Re: Experience the last few years with Iboga

It seems to be a common experience for, in the flood, after the very blissful part of the experience, to have a kind of fucked up/horrific experience. Not everyone experiences this, and the reasons for it may vary.

I experienced it as having a dream in which I was being shot in the eyes / psychically raped in the eyes, with the promise that I would now suffer for eternity. I remember panicking and slamming hard down on my desk until my sitter came. The Tea Fairie experienced it as a vivid vision of her scratching out her eyeballs into a bloody pulp. Both mine and her visions recurred 2 or 3 times.

Insight... I dunno. I consider any and all strange experiences to be part of a grander re-balancing process. If you stayed too much in la-la land, would you get anything done? How grounded would you be?

We are humans. The fate of the universe is not ours to worry about.

Eboka Talk / Re: Hypothyroidism and Iboga

Obligatory disclaimer: I'm not a doctor.

Both hypothyrdoidism and low vitamin D levels are very common throughout modern, "civilized" society. I am sure many people have taken iboga with those conditions and have been fine.

Perhaps iboga can give you some insight into why your thyroid is hypo.

Get out in the sun!

Good luck!

More than enough info? I beg to differ. We are just barely discovering the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what iboga can do and treat. There is so much information that is changing and evolving regarding legality, endangered status, clinical use, health effects, etc. etc..

Iboga induces such a multifaceted and varied experience that I can't imagine NOT having dialogue about it.

Why has activity on this site screeched to a halt?

Has the demand for anonymous iboga discussion totally dropped?

Does it matter? Do we care?

Eboka Talk / Re: Intro/Strong warning to breastfeeding mothers!
« on: May 02, 2017, 09:22:51 AM »
I can see absolutely no reason to touch iboga in any form while breastfeeding.

Well, she did say that she was dealing with alcoholism, ptsd, and severe anxiety. That's one reason. Sometimes you are in agony and it can't wait.

In my opinion, her carelessness was in regards to confusing the dosage for microdosing rootbark, which she had intended to do, with dosing TA. She *accidentally* took TA instead of rootbark. THAT'S the carelessness. Had she merely microdosed, like she intended, I'm sure the baby would have been fine. No doubt no one should FLOOD with iboga while breastfeeding.
