Okay, here we go: This thread can be whatever we want it to be! Just think...
I started this post on an earlier thread on this board (If enough folks read than we will copy and paste for this "Magnesium" Topic.
http://eboka.info/index.php?topic=1914.msg16295#msg16295I have consciously relied on Magnesium in many forms over the last few years (i.e. Stearate, Oxide, whole food sourced....epsom salt baths, nature made is cheap, I think oxide is the active ingredient in laxatives...). Anyway, they the point being, Ma saturation is key to a healthy and happy existence. It has over 1000 roles in the body that we know about.....
that we know about! Since it competes with calcium for absorption, I have been relying on a higher dose of Ma at night, since I have to have my calcium in the AM. It's a better cycle and you get more bang for your buck, IMHO. I am confused as to how there are still products on the market that are 3 minerals supplements, where calcium and Magnesium are 2 of the 3 (I think zinc being the 3rd). This would theoretically be a waste of sorts.
Thought this was worth sharing.....especially regarding the Ma orotate. However, he does mention how Ca is needed to absorb Ma, so there is a relationship there that is just not quite understood, I think...
