Title: Donations for Eboka.Info
Post by: pkeffect on September 26, 2012, 02:59:09 PM
Dear Eboka members,

As someone pointed out, the old thread title was a bit misleading or confusing. So I sent that one out to greener pastures and began a new one. It is that time of year again when we need help from our community and our sponsors to cover so costs for the site and server. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated from the staff and myself.

Donations can be made through Paypal by clicking the button located here... https://bluesphereweb.com/pkeffect/time.php <-- (had to change it, moving soon so don't know when my local server will drop.) (which is to pkeffect@gmail.com ). You do not need a Paypal account donate from there, only a credit/debit card. If someone wants to donate but can't or don't want to use Paypal please contact me via PM here or email me pkeffect@gmail.com and we can work something out.

Hope the new title clears up any confusion.

Your Mostly-Silent Admin,

pkeffect

DONATE BITCHES! >:(  No, just kidding...but really, donate.

I am going to again shortly here once a paycheck comes in.  Car repairs, bills, debts from the addiction days can set one back a little.

Hi PK,

The screen look a little bit different than the last time.  I just want to be sure it is you and this is real.  I value this site and am glad to help.

Best,

  Roy

Want to thank everyone who has sent in donations so far. Your help and generosity is greatly appreciated. Let's try and keep them coming and expect some changes soon to the site. Working on an outline right now and a request section for getting all your input on things around here.

I guess we will be removing the sponsor banners soon since none of the sponsors have gotten back to us after repeated attempts. This is a blow to the community, we can only count on each other. Remember anything you guys and gals can do to help out keeps us up and running.

That's a sexy tie...and debatable.

Domain name is $11 a year.

Hosting is around $100 a year.

Maintaining is whatever I feel like charging which is usually nothing. "I take it in the ""darkside"" for that one."

The rest is for any time spent coding/upgrading/creating new stuff or changing things. I guess the next big update coming soon will be probono.

Thanks for asking, there is everyone's transparency. :)

Wow PK!  That is the best most transparent response to a post I have seen in a long time.  It almost made me cry to  see how transparent it was.  No one needs all of that info, but it is pretty cool of you to share it with such style and ease.  Enjoy surfing the field seƱor!

P.S.  Still dusting myself off from WW3 over here, so my donation is on it's way muy pronto. Glad I got on the boards to get that seed in the vortex.  Peace.

Speaking of the domain. It will be up for renewal very soon. If a couple of you all felt like tossing up a buck or two that would be great.

EDIT: We are approximately 1/2 the way to domain renewal !

Thanks !

I actually changed the link to the paypal donate button because my home server is offline at the moment.

We close on a new house out of town today. The next week or two I may be offline, no net etc. Probably moving Tuesday. I will post when we are settled.

Best wishes for a safe, speedy, and hassle-free move brother...may you endure no unnecessary crapulence along the way. Holler when you're plugged back in and thanks for everything.  ;)

Finally starting to get settled in. I suffered a transient ischemic attack a few days ago after having heat exhaustion and the flu on top of the stress of moving. We don't think there was any permanent damage. I will be getting to work on some new stuff for the site in the coming weeks. I am still a bit shaken up and taking my time with things more so now than normal. Glad I am still here.

Yikes! I'm glad to hear you're okay. Take it easy.

Can I ask what "new stuff" are you working on?
