Title: Free Root Bark Drawing #2!!!
Post by: Calaquendi on January 19, 2011, 03:38:10 PM
Hello, hello!

To kick off the new year with good vibes and lots of love - WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER DRAWING -yay!-  ;D (say "yay", dammit!)

Our friends at Cerberus Extract (http://cerberusextract.com/) will be donating 20g of top-notch T. iboga root bark to the winner!

Same deal as last contest, if you weren't here for that one - here's the skinny:

Participants encouraged to submit an "essay" - or your own definition thereof - (no minimum words, no worries over syntax - no one will be 'graded' on eloquence) about "Why/how you or a loved one would benefit from Iboga" OR "What would you do if gifted with 20g iboga root bark"

One entry per contestant - the way we'll do this is each member who wants to make an entry will do so by starting a thread in this board, this will encourage discourse and give a place to reply to each entry.

In the body of the text, please include Cerberus Extract's web address, thus:  http://cerberusextract.com/

Promotion will run for two weeks (from today) - winner will be selected by random drawing - so it doesn't matter if you think you are not the most gifted writer in the universe, your entry will go into the 'hat' and will be drawn at random using the unbiased GratefulDad Tek.

RULES

Must be an adult 18 or older

US entrants are encouraged, but shipping address MUST be outside the United States - shipping address to be provided directly to Cerberus by winner (please do not ask for shipping to areas where prohibited)

US participants, do not be discouraged about shipping policies - go ahead and enter, if you win, you can pay your gift forward to someone who is in an area not affected by Draconian law!

EDIT: You must have min 10 posts to enter  ;)  No longer a join date rule!!  Also, winner may be required to provide proof of age to pick up the package at the post office.  This is simply to eliminate the chance that children get their hands on it.

We wish to thank Cerberus Extract for their generosity, please visit them at: http://cerberusextract.com/ !

This thread will remain open for questions or discussion but remember to post your entries as a new thread on this board! Thanks, and good luck!

So, since this hasn't gotten much attention all week, I was wondering if maybe removing the rule that people must have been signed up before the contest, might be beneficial.  I do hope that the bark goes to participating members in the community, but it doesn't seem like many of them have seen this, or perhaps they don't need the bark.  I have been hanging out at DMT-Nexus, and it seems some of my influence has helped bring in more folks.  Maybe some of these folks qualify.  Hopefully this post will make it more noticeable, but perhaps bending that final rule a bit may help increase the contest's popularity..

EDIT:  Rule change!  Thanks again Cerberus and Cal!

I am very saddened by this edit.  Earlier today it was 5 minimum posts to enter and now it is 10 which disqualifies me.  I will quit working on my essay.

Pandora, you have 7 posts, I am sure the essay will qualify by the time you can post it!  We just changed the rules so that the next winner is someone who wants to share on the forum.  By changing the rule to ten posts, but no join date, anyone can come today and give their input on a few topics, and enter.  This will help integrate new folks into the community, hopefully.  The last winner joined simply for the contest, and didn't share much at all.  This is what we want to avoid.   Also, many interesting Nexians joined in the last week, and we'd like to give them an opportunity to open up and take part in the contest.  It doesn't do very well promoting something when the winner doesn't share how the product was, or their experience..  You have already shown the willingness to do this Pandora, so don't sweat it.  You can easily make another two posts, and your essay can be the one that makes you qualify!!  :D

Really?  I misunderstood.  I appreciate the clarification.  So, the key appears to be to have 10 posts before submitting the essay, or even 9, with the essay being #10.  It's all good.

I'll see what I can do.  I suspect I'll be well over 10 by the time I submit the essay within the next couple of days.  I was thinking of commenting on some of the recent experience reports and posting an update on my experience, as I did on Nexus.

The more people who join this community and who try iboga the better.  This healing must be shared.

Thank you.

uh the laws the laws, do people still adhere to those things??

i would do very little with iboga, but what iboga will do with me.. and in turn those around me, and in turn those around them, and those around them, is to be in human manifestation the ever present timeless force of love, a fully interconnected one, and vibrating all on the frequency of the cosmos.
is that too fluffy?
what do you want me to do.. to do for you.. or to see you thru..

You can look right at your post in this thread.  Over to the left where it identifies you as the poster, just below your name/avatar area it has your post count.

I'll do the drawing this afternoon.  I just woke up a bit ago, but I'll get it done before this evening.  Good luck to all of you!

So for entries we have rho, eman,  ele, mo, Pandora, and crazylife?  I counted six entries, I think.  I will enter all the names into a hat, and have one of the kids reach in and pick.  I'll announce the winner tonight or in the morning.  Sorry for the delay, I had a lot of errands to run today.

Okay, all names were written on equal sized pieces of paper folded, and placed into a straw sun hat, they were shaken and mixed.  One of the kids reached in and grabbed one piece, and the winner is...

CRAZYLIFE!!

Congratulations on your win!  I would think you should PM Cerberus Extract to figure out how to claim your prize!

Thanks to everyone who entered!

No need to grind it because I grind it into a powder so it takes less space in the package.

Congrats CL, looks like things are really falling into place for you!!! I was one of the winners in the last root bark contest Cerberus held & I will tell you that his rb is fantastic...very potent with a nice"clean" feel to it.! So far I've not been able to use Iboga the way many of you do, due to my age & health conditions, so some very gentle micro-dosing is how I use it. ( There is a thread here where I wrote about my micro-dosing experiences if anyone is interested.)

Although my experiences with Iboga have not been earth shattering head cracking ones (so far), they have most definitely impacted my life & health in a most positive way. My hope is to eventually get myself strong & healthy enough to be able to withstand a flood, & be done with the pain meds I've been on for so long. A year ago this was just an impossible dream for me, I was so run down, every day full of pain & then ending up in the hospital with pneumonia...it took weeks just to be strong enough to walk a block or two again after that. But things started changing after the micro-dosing & these days I'm feeling 100% better & have some hope again.

So again, congratulations, CL, & I want to thank Cerberus again for his awesome generosity & the work he does to bring such high quality Iboga to us!!!

Thanks Cernlion and sassyfras.   8)

I had a dream last week. My general rule is that if i hear clear conversation (i usually dont) and remember it (very loud clear words, very simple sentences, simple instructions) when i wake up, its communication with beings of some kind.

Sorry i might sound weird here, you might think ive been watching too many much David Lynch films, lol.. Ever since i brokedown, my dream-state has been so intense, every night.

I even had a premonition last year. I woke up holding my stomach and heard loud voices (just before i woke) saying cancer. My auntie was ill the following week, and died soon after from quick spreading stomach cancer.
Ive also had a positive being ( i think they ALL are in truth, teaching me diff lessons, even if the lessons are hard) showing me laying on a sofa, over-weight, and then another image later when i had died alone with rigamortis. This was when i was severly over-weight, using binge eating to  cope when i was triggered. That changed my life on a totally different route. I wasnt ready to stop binge eating until that moment. Before then i needed the food when i was seriously dissociated to feel something. Ive Lost 7 stones since.

Well, 1 week ago they told me that i was going to be tested and i had to pass it. I  was sat here looking at this competition feeling like i had no right to enter. (again, ive never felt sorry for myself, just conditioning from my childhood trauma).
I took the step of entering, then won.
I truely believe they wanted me to win (the beings) as a message that i was AGAIN on the right track. That IBOGA is the correct route for me. This was that test, and winning was the message.

Im sorry if this sounds utter horse-shit. I wouldnt lie about this, and i know you guys are seriously open-minded, but that still doesnt mean you dont think someone is full of crap now and again, lol.  8) :P
Everything i said is true, and is as real to me as the sky is blue on a sunny day.

Anyways, i thought i would share that.
I plan on taking two 10g doses, not sure when. Actually it depends on how the HCL session goes, as that will be the first ibogaine experience ill have.
Ill be sure to report back when i do on how the root bark experiences/experience went.

Thanks again Cerebus Extract and GrateFulDad for doing the draw.

Edited - Loads of spelling mistakes.

Hey CL, you don't sound the least bit crazy to me....Iboga is a strange & wonderful & powerful plant/entity, & if you read around this board for long enough you'll see that you're not the only one who has had experiences like that! Sometimes even long before the person has the Iboga in their hands, long before actually ingesting it....just the *intent* to do it seems to trigger such thoughts/experiences. For me, just a couple of times of microdosing some root bark *cracked* my head enough to bring back some memories from the time before I walked or talked...( I would really ;lImemories that stunned my mom because she said they were dead on accurate...)

GD, I'm sure you're right about Iboga probably healing rather than hurting me. And, it's not even the thought of dying that concerns me so much~~~I just don't want to leave a big mess behind if I do!!! I would really love to read about Iboga experiences by older people, both with & without addictions too.

Hey CL, you sound as if you've got a pretty darn good grasp of what your issues are, & how Iboga can be a catalyst to resolution for you. I see the beginnings of a brand new CL in the works~~~hopefully one who never again questions whether he is worthy!

Thanks Sassyfras,   8)

Thats was a cool thing for you to write/type/say.   8) 8)
Therapist's say im easy to work with because i open up totally. A shame that therapy is very limited, and cant dig under the subconcious like substances can. (well, im sure IBOGA will).
This honesty with myself and drive to face everything will hopefully make the experience very painful, but very worthwhile.

What you said about very early childhood memories was exactually the reason i was drawn towards IBOGA!

Edit - Spellings.

Yeah, Cl, that early childhood stuff is BIG! My feeling is that it is our early childhood experiences/traumas which "set the stage" for our learning & evolution during the rest of our lives. I see so many people who are really still stuck at a very young emotional/spiritual age, no matter how sophisticated or clever they may be & no matter how educated they are. They will continue being trapped in behavioral or substance use addictions until they begin to "crack the code" of the original trauma(s) that set them on this path in the first place.

There is a wonderful doctor, Dr. Gabor Mate, who has written a book about addiction called "In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts". There are all kinds of youtube videos of his talks....I find it very encouraging that this man really "gets it", and that so many people are buying his book(s) & going to hear him speak. Seems that people are finally ready to learn the truth about the addictive processes that enslave so many. I think you'll be able to relate to what he has to say, CL.

Hi SassyFras,

I really like the guy, talks ALOT of sense! Im learning alot about brain chemistry and behaviour from his videos.
This one in particular is very good.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpHiFqXCYKc&playnext=1&list=PL20C7C699D001F150

Hes so right about people and their actions - people do things because they need too! Now i know why i get peed-off when people tell others how to act and feel!
If it was a choice, i believe most people would choose to feel good, and act in a positive way for themselves.
Im only just becoming aware of how it is to live healthily, and how differently 'healthy' people live. At the same time im becoming aware of all the self-destructive habits ive had. His videos are very helpful at this time.  8)
