The function of a Shakespearean tragedy was to shock the spectator so hard that he/she would never dream of indulging in the fatal flaws that the protagonist had exhibited. The end of the plays were tragic, often with suicide and/or murder.

Likewise, sometimes psychedelics (especially iboga) shows us how terrible things could be if we don't change. A psychedelic, or any divination tool for that matter, can only show you the future as it stands relative to the present. Even Ayahuasceros comment on how Mother Ayahuasca sometimes "lies."

What is happening is that the future is always mutable depending on multiple factors, many unforeseen, but always including the will of the participant.

Tell her not to fixate on it. Iboga or any intelligent plant medicine for that matter does not put on a 100% "Doom and Gloom" show. I have endured many very dark experiences with Iboga. Frightening and rotting visions.

Fixation will block out any other information that may prevent her from the death that she sees.

She is seeing it for a reason. Death nor Iboga does not seek to scare an individual for no reason. That is pointless.

Also, more details might make this easier to discuss.

Ali Bongo, your experience aligns with mine!!! When I fast, I feel the presence of iboga. It might be because there is still some noribogaine lingering in my fat, and when I fast, my body breaks my fat down, releasing noribogaine. But aside from technical interpretations, something about emptying thyself resonates with the iboga spirit for sure.

Fasting, when done properly, is very rejuvenating. For now I am doing intermittent fasting (mainly going to bed on an empty stomach), because I'm skinny af.

Peace!

The anxiety is the energy that was stuck in the depression (unmoving, weighty, dense energy), and the iboga freed it up, and now it's floating around in your space.

I'd say better anxiety than depression. You can work with it a bit more. Good luck!

It sounds like it did have an effect on you, but just very little because you vomited early. Good luck with your next try!

It's not dumb! Counterintuitively, it's a lot easier to be factually honest anonymously than when you have your identity tacked onto what you say.

I think people are gravitating towards the facebook groups because it's more convenient and something about shortening attention spans and instant gratification. Not wanting to think in depth about things, just wanting the quick fix.

It sounds like you should be fine. I personally am against using xanax during a flood, more for spiritual reasons than safety reasons. 24hrs before should be fine, just don't take something else while iboga is in your system. And remember, once you take iboga it is IN your system for a LONG time. We're talking 4-8 weeks, because it gets converted into noribogaine which stays in your system for about that long.

Thank you for clarifying on the nature of your substance use. I know it isn't easy to be frank about it. I take back my wording of "physically addicted."

I wouldn't worry about having "zero spirituality." In some sense, iboga isn't even spiritual. It can be very practical. It can offer insight that is very direct, matter-of-fact, no frills, etc. And it may not even seem like it's coming from an outside source. Indeed, it is you who will (hopefully) do the realizing, or perhaps the un-learning of patterns that got you into this mess in the first place.

In my not-so-humble internet-stranger's opinion, you do not NEED to get an EKG or liver panel test before you microdose, especially if your physical body is pretty much healthy.

Most of the iboga/ibogaine deaths/complications come from people accidentally or stupidly mixing other substances with iboga. "Whoops, I did a line of cocaine while on iboga!" "Whoops, I couldn't deal with the emotional pain on iboga so I went for my "trusty" opioids!" That'll kill you.

That's one of the reasons why, if you want to go deep with iboga, you need a sitter present to prevent those things from happening and/or give moral support.

Good luck, and have fun!!

So yeah, BlueTiger and I are on the same page. Quit Kava and Kratom well before introducing iboga.

And do your research on the half-lives of your other meds.

You might be addicted if you need kava and kratom to function. It's not a bad thing, it's just a physical dependency.

If you want to get the most insight out of your iboga, you have to stop "functioning," whatever that is (don't die) going into the iboga space. It is possible that whatever you consider as functioning could be the wrong path (making your anxiety worse) for you. Iboga will help you figure that out.

Staying Clean / Re: Intermittent Fasting and Ketogenic Lifestyle

"Cures all chronic disease..."

This is kinda BS.

Keto is not for everyone. I did keto for a year and my RA did not go away. Stuff is more complicated than that.

But intermittent fasting is super healthful.

From what I hear, Gratefuldad is alive and well. And from a quick glance at the Kambo forum, it looks like it's just as active as this one.

Try less MJ when on iboga. A little goes a faaar way when microdosing.
