General Discussion / Re: Flooding & Depression ?
« on: January 10, 2013, 10:50:38 AM »

Hi Eve,

may I ask how much you take and how often.  Also, how is the 5 or 10 X extract work for depression?  Any special kind and place your would recommend would be appreciated.

Best,

Hi People,

I have heard similar things like this before, one Dr said Vit C will stop w/d (it was a National Enquirer article) of course it did not work.  I do hope it helps for it seems safe enough and cheap enough.  What I like to see is people that I know on the forum say it worked for me.  If anyone has used it and had good results please let us in on it.

Best to all,

Eboka Talk / Re: Questions about Iboga and subutex
« on: December 29, 2012, 01:21:32 AM »

Hi,
Cal gives both sides of the story but it seems that I have read many times people say I should of stayed on SAOs longer.  The severe depression from Sub can last for months and months from people I know who are telling me the truth.  I think if your able go the SAO route and make it easy on yourself.

GD did kick methadone with Ibo but took a hell of a lot and was puking for days if I remember correctly.  Hey GD, may I ask how much Met you were taking and didn't it go a lot smoother with the pods?  Your puking story reminds me of mine, I was on the way to the hospital for the first time in my life and then made a phone call that saved me from having to go.

Best,

@Cal,

This is just for me, puking could be used as a guideline.  I was puking Very bad and on the way to the hospital for the first time in my life for a drug related issue.  My problem was  I was drinking water and I would drink a few ounces and puke it up.  This went on for hours on Apx 18.5.  Also, it cracked my head and got me off a sugar, coffee, cola and other things.  Puking is a way to purge your bodies of poison.  If you drink Raid or other poisons you body pukes to rid yourself of it.  When I puke it is over, again this is just me.  Even under the influence of Ibo I considered if it was possible that I am burning my throat.  See, that is another reason to have a sitter for you do not know the harm your doing to yourself.  Now this was my fourth time, what should a newbie if they encounter the same problem and maybe without a sitter?

Hi Tiger,

It seems like you traded your opiate addiction for a Kartom extract addiction.  I have never taken it but have read several others having trouble with the extract.  Now, Kartom goes to the mu and K receptor and Ibo deals mainly with the mu or opioid receptor.  If your looking for something like SAO maybe give pods a try.

Many people use weight as a guideline.  I can not see how else you will figure out the dose.  How do you know how your liver is processing the Ibo??

Hi GD,

Thanks for the info.  I was doing shrooms on a weekly basis and it seemed that each time I would get less and less with 6.34gm.  I would have mild but short sessions with the shroom and sometimes try taking some before the session was over.  At one point I would end up taking 9 gm and nothing.  I now wait two or three weeks, I really miss them too, I have made it to bliss (+4) several times - Wonderful.  Is there anything that is somewhat similar that I could use like a phenethlamide  or something?

One more thing I would like to ask ya.  I am sure you have read about legal highs.  You know, if you eat a oz (not a typo) of nutmeg you get a slight weed high and stay sick for a day or two.  And Datura and Belladonna people seem to experience an unpleasant high and often end up naked and arrested and taken to a hospital (Erowid.com).  Have you found anything worthwhile?  I think you know they made all the Spice type smoking stuff that ya could get at gas stations and head shops illegal.  I think their going to do it all over the country, I never tried any of it but heard it is not all that great.  Hey, if anyone else has tried the Spice stuff or the new stuff called Smiles please tell us how you like it.

Best to all,

  Roy

Hi Folks,

Quote
Your trip may or may not be anything like anyone else's you have previously read about.

Most people who do it say each time is a bit different and I would agree, therefore it would be hard to explain to a person what to expect.  As everyone says it's not like any other drug you have ever taken.

Wishing you the best,

 Roy

Hi GD,

I am curious about something and I thought I would ask ya.  When a person takes a fair dose of mushrooms once a week after a while it will not work - you can feel the come up and that's it.  I have read that it depletes the serotonin and that is why you can not get off.  OK, if you take some kind of SSRI should that make a session of shrooms stronger or will one be able to take it on a weekly basis?  I know your not a Dr but just wonder what your opinion is.

Best to ya,

   Roy

Best thing to do is let others know who the rip offs are so we can buy elsewhere.  Just my opinion

Wow, five grams of TA, sounds like a lot.  It seems some people take it for addiction and some for spiritual reasons and others for mental problems like depression, anxiety or like you say Depression,OCD,ADHD.  Did it make a significant improvement on the OCD and ADHD?  It seems those who take it for skitzo don't seem to improve that much and in fact can make things worse.

Glad your doing good,

Hi Missjess,

3 grams of TA depending on the quality can be quite High of a dose and it is easier of a Exp.  I'm sure you know not to be on drugs like Zoloft, Paxil and that kinda stuff, also, women need less than men.  Having a good sitter will be very important specially for the first time.

Introductions / Re: Help for alcoholic Husband

Hi Sara,

Welcome to the forum.  You got a lot on your plate, it may be a good idea to read all the stories on the forum for it will give you a good idea of what to work and what to watch out for.  For example Buck36 did a detox and tells what it was like on day #8 and day #15, of course it may be a little different for opiates than alcohol but you will still be able to identify.

I'll take question no. 1.

The TA and HCL debate goes on and on, much like the old Gilligens Island where people are split 50/50 on who they like better Ginger or Maryann.  The HCL is faster and easier on your system than the TA.  I see no reason to tax my system more that it has been so I go for the HCL.  Others like the full spectrum of the flood and like the TA.  When I did the HCL I was up and getting around in 20 hrs (but that does not mean a person should be left alone for what if he/she has to cook on the stove - bad idea) with the extract it was 72 hours so if the sitter or should take this into consideration also.

Since your hubby has a high tolerance I would not go over 1.5 gm of the HCL for a 175 lb guy which is is 18.86mg/kg of body weight.  Now this for me was a Very high dose for it is near the top end of the 15-20mg/kg that seems to be the norm.  Or you may want to try 1.4 gm which comes out to 17.6mg/kg which is still a pretty high dose. Since your hubby is an alkie rather than an opiate addict he may recover quicker, what kind of shape is he in, how old is he, how is his general health, these are the questions that you must ask yourself.  See, Ibo goes to the mu receptors which is the same place the opiates go to and the Ibo seems to sooth the poor mu receptors.  As far as how long to be off alcohol before the detox I have heard at least a week and I would imagine 10 days would be better.

Also Ibo is unlike any other drug.  I know hubby has used acid, weed, etc, etc but these are totally different than Ibo.  As far as a sitter I had my wife look in on me every now and then, I would not like someone taking my blood pressure when I am under Ibo, I just want to be left alone in a dark quiet place, don't like music with it however this is just me.  Oh keep the puke bucket near you at all times, when he hears the sounds going faster and faster that is when you go to the bathroom and take care of any personal business for after the Exp starts it can be hard to walk.

As for the sitter they empty the puke bucket and keep an eye one the Experiencer (yeah just made up a new word) and may have to clean up shit or puke or whatever is necessary.  Hubby will not be hungry for a few days but should keep away from stoves and chain saws and things like that.  Some folks like to fast before doing Ibo but for me no way.  I go a week without eating and get Very weak so a day or two before the detox I try to eat good healthy meals.

Hopefully some others will chime in and answer a few questions, that's what we do here.

Best,

  Roy

Howdy Buck,

Your doing great, it's nice when the diarrhea stops and the digestion begins to work and to sleep again is nice too.  Your story sounds like mine about hypersensitivity to smells, specially the soap isle in the supermarket, not interested in sweets and a few more.  I believe that means you done cracked your head, very good.  If your cracked your head you may of not of under dosed but your fighting a tough guy Mr. Met and he'll come around and nag ya for a while your just got to ignore 'em, yes it is hard for he got me time after time, kinda like reenlisting in hells army.  For me I seemed to have a problem at the 30 day mark I got the carvings and also pain.  It seems for me that Ibo kills much of the pain for 30 days.  You may want to consider having some rb around.

Glad your doing good,

  Roy

Hi Tanya,

I am sorry to hear the story, we have a similar guy who took some ta in Peru at a pretty high altitude and he was out of his mind for a week and then went to the hospital.  It is one of those freakish things for I believe he had used it before, it was ta from iw 3 gms and it was Very bad.  I believe he and his bud thought the altitude may of had something to do with it.

This lady had depression and it was getting worse when she did the Ibo, it should not have been used if she was going from bad to worse.  Of course this is just me.  Also I can all but guarantee she did not go two or more weeks off the anti-depression meds.  Or maybe she did, who knows but taking a anti-depressant and Ibo is a Very big no no.  Maybe it would help to mention it.  Of course they really don't care what you have to say.

I have said a prayer for her and hope she recovers.

Best,
