General Discussion / PTA is purified total alkaloid
« on: November 03, 2010, 02:43:44 AM »
So, I've been saying precipitated total alkaloid, which while not wrong, is better said as purified total alkaloid. So, there's me all teachable. :)

Been working with 65% and with 85%. Learning more every day. :)

IbogaWorld, last I checked, sells this calling it TA. TA is what you get with the simple acid and base extraction. PTA needs the acetone. Check me, chemists, k?
But TA is about 30% active in HCl terms, while PTA is 65-85% active. BIG difference in dosing. In fact, when I use 85%, I use it as 1:1 for HCl. The other alkaloids are Potent!

So if you read that one should take 3-6g TA for a flood, then you go to, say, IbogaWorld and get that amount of their 'TA' and eat it, you will have taken a HUGE amount of alkaloids.

Always know your medicine, right?

I guess that's it. I wanted to correct myself for all the many times I've used 'precipitated' and not 'purified'.
Thanks, Dr. Jenks

Life is good,
Tia

So, awhile back, some really effed up stuff happened on 9/11. But for a few moments, we were all together in our grief and support, and there was a HUGE sense of community...
That's what this forum is about for me, the sense of community, as we see each other through hard times, good times, big and small changes. We make mistakes, we learn, we experience joys, we learn, we reach out to each other and we learn. :)

Okay Tia, how in the heck does that make any sense together? Well, Tia, I'm glad you asked.

Tomorrow, 09/11/2010, The Eboka Forum Turns One Year Old!!!!! The date for me (besides my sister's birthday!) is now even more special as a reminder of what we can do together. There is no place like this on all the internet, the love here is abundant and I am deeply grateful to be able to come here!

Cal, what a wonderful thing you've wrought. This was once just a passing thought, and now look at us!

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY EBOKA FORUM!!!!!!

Best wishes for many, many more!!!!

Big, big love,
Tia

You know how around winter holiday time the radio stations have people call in to win these monetary gifts and it goes to the one with the sickest relatives, the least food in the cupboard, etc.?  And other folk listen to hear these horrid stories of deprivation and desperation for monetary assistance?  I don't have a story like that. I mean, I'm fairly monetarily challenged, but I don't think I'll lay it all out for 20g of bark, lol.

What I do with bark is give it away. For free. To people approaching their treatments, or people finishing their treatments. All chemistry aside, Iboga is a master plant spirit. To take Iboga before a treatment lets Iboga see you, and lets the changes begin. Taking Iboga after a treatment rounds out what may be missing in the TA, and is certainly missing in the HCl.

So, that's how I'd use it. I'd pay it forward, and get it to as many people as I could. I'd tell folk the source, and they could decide for themselves if more would benefit them.

Simple.

Fun Cal, movin' and shakin', you.

All my love,
Tia

Introductions / Welcome people new to the board!!!!
« on: June 07, 2010, 02:07:11 PM »
Hey everyone,

This is the place to post an introduction, you can say as much or as little about yourself as you want.

There are no Big Dogs, here. Just folk who share your interest in Iboga. We all come to Iboga with a lifetime behind us, we all have valuable knowledge to share. Your input is welcome and desired, no matter how much you know about Ibo, whether you've taken it or not.

Thing I like best about this place is that big egos don't seem to fit here. We help each other out, listen to each other, and offer what we can.

Looking forward to meeting the people I haven't yet met!
Please post when you are comfortable.  ;D

Love,
Tia

Hiya guys and gals,

Reposting here in this appropriate spot.

Eric is the gran-daddy of the UnderGround, I have immense respect for who he is and what he's doing. He's very approachable and open, no g-d complex working, though I admit I was kind of starstruck when I talked to him the first time. He's just a man, doing what he's called to do. If you are interested in seeing if he'll be in your area, or you want him to be, write him! I am not getting paid or anything for this, lol, but I really believe it's time to get the word out, and so I help however I can.

Hi All,

I will be conducting a discussion tour throughout the entire U.S.  One of the intentions is to encourage a couple people from each city to be trained to work with ibogaine.  If you or anyone you know is interested in helping to facilitate or host a talk/meeting about this and anything else related to ibogaine, feel free to email me at ibojourney@gmail.com. A forum of any kind, from a living room meeting with a few people to a larger formal venue, are all fine with me.

The help I may need on occasion is to have parking and electricity to be able to plug into a self-contained van for a couple days. I'm interested in beginning in a few weeks from here in the southeast and have help from leaders of the harm reduction movement in the U.S. and other ibogaine advocates.

Word has it that although it is far from set in stone there is an "indication" ibogaine is moving out of Schedule I to Schedule II (for the purpose of research) and this will surely expedite the proliferation of interest on many levels we have continued to see through the years especially since last November.  I always wanted to see ibogaine available in several (about 35 to 40, at least) cities in the U.S., and the world for that matter, and now there is an indication this will be accomplished within the next several years.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours,
Eric Taub

General Discussion / Idle chit chat
« on: May 30, 2010, 01:56:26 AM »
So, I check the board lately and there's nothing going.

Then I think about the last time I really posted anything, and decided I wouldn't wait for all y'all to entertain and enlighten me. ;)

Dear diary,

I've learned SO MUCH the last few days, or maybe the last week. Some of it is so hard to convey. Like, I am the creator of my universe, you are me, non duality seems to be different than one-ness, and I am guided by some thing not me. And the hard part to convey is that it's all true simultaneously, and makes perfect sense.

I went to another Evolver Spore, this one in Orange County, at a lady's house who works with San Pedro in a holy way. We talked about water and there was this one guy who works for a 'government regulatory institution' for water who told us many things about how southern california gets its water. Now I'm eager to learn more.

Boy had a great time with his friends, helped out at the school. Amazing that he's taller than me, now. At twelve! And he's growing still, so quickly! Girl didn't really have that good a time at her friends, the mom is fairly lackadaisical about child rearing, and leaves them pretty much alone. I can always tell what kind of environment she's been in by what she requires of me. Tonight it was big time boundaries. Gave 'em to her, and she's my cuddle fish again.

I had a great time last night. Took a microdose of RB, felt the connection afresh, and intended openness. Home alone is such a treat, jacuzzi, shower, just laying on bed. And a FAT salami sandwich, because I wanted it. With butter.

I am meeting so many, many people. Both online and in the flesh. It's weird to feel that connection, but then practice discernment on top of it. In the past I would just go with the connection, mostly because it feels so good.
Now I experience it, and utilize critical thinking skills, too. Wow. I don't like to think I am better than anyone, but I see my time is becoming precious, and I have to choose where to spend it. That's where discernment comes in. Where do I want to put my energies? To what end?

Also thinking about fun. Weird word. Everything I do, I enjoy (except dishes), but very, very little is for the simple enjoyment of it. Is this wrong? Do I need fun for funs sake? Working is fun...wait, it's also trying. What is fun? It's fun to talk to friends, fun to laugh with my kids doing anything. How is fun different than entertainment? Should I pursue fun?

Going to meet with a beautiful friend tomorrow, known him many years. Now that I'm 41, I can say that about quite a few people.

Also thinking about other plant medicines. At first I felt a bit righteous in only needing Iboga. Now I've dropped the righteousness, and while I think I really do only need Iboga, I want to try the other teachers again. I think I would see them differently, and now I'm teachable in the extreme. Right? lol.

Quiet here, dark here, warm here. Summer weather FINALLY. I did NOT WEAR SOCKS TODAY!!!!

Love you, Miss B.
(Love you, Eboka forum people)

Eboka Talk / Beautiful, smooth journey.
« on: April 12, 2010, 11:17:48 AM »
Last night the lovely Miss M met her Bwiti, to be sure. Thanks to those of you who sent prayers, I am knowing they helped. I've known M for years, 9 months off suboxone, 34 days off alcohol, 4 days off benzoes. She put amazing effort into meeting Iboga. I gave her (thanks again, friend) about a gram of RB to eat over a week or so, this she did, saying it made her calmer on the first day. We used TA for dosing, as she had no current physical addictions. I incorporated Bwiti, ritual, dance, paint, as she was comfortable and open to it. And wow. It was a little rough for her to let go, but when she did, from what she tells me this AM, bam!
I was dancing at a few points and seeing the fire, other dancers, feeling which ways I should move. And because I am trusting myself, I worked with moving energies, containers and expansion. She is not a big reader, only read sites I suggested, and not even all of those, lol. She knows very little of Bwiti. This AM, she reports having gone to a village 'I think it was in Africa', laying where she could see a fire, with dancers around her. The villagers took her places and showed her things. She met God, who is also 'the biggest gazelle I've ever seen!'. Reports many nature experiences, and much self learning. Was clear and able to speak through entire experience. No real ataxia to speak of. Up and smiling this morning, eating fruit. The smoothest ride I've ever seen besides my own. I am so happy, so grateful. I am honored to be doing this work. Pa' Iboga!
Thanks for being here, friends.

Easy part done.

760.820.4480, a US number.

A Yucca Valley, California number through Skype.
Full call forwarding capacity.

$18/3 months. If it works, I'll do the $60/year next.

This number is NOT live yet, stuff needs to be worked out about details, like:

Just working on what structure will be. Who to 'advertise' it to, what 'rules' (like always say you are in Canada, Mexico, never US) to put on it. Who will answer calls, what shifts, etc.

Friend M here said she would assist, any one else with time and ideas?

Lovelove,
TiaTiaPunkinEatah

Hey all,

Wanted to make a separate thread for this, because I think this is an amazing happening.

From what I hear, he's going to be beginning in August on the East Coast.

Here is the body of the letter he sent, I'm sure he'd like to hear from anyone here:

I'd like to start an *email* thread on this topic. Plans are for a week long camping trip in July,  in the West USA. Since we won't want times and dates to be publicly published, because we are discreet, I'm thinking anyone interested can message me their email, and I will cc everyone to start the discussion.

I am really looking forward to this!

Grateful for the space, Cal and pk. Thank you.

General Discussion / Papa Underground, each one teach one.
« on: March 04, 2010, 03:44:33 PM »
So, E.T. was primarily instrumental in starting the NY providers underground  about 6-8 years ago. Now it's time to spread it further.  I recently learned there are only six underground providers in
the USA. DUDE! WTF?
I had thought there were hundreds, seriously. E. is slowly planning a trip to major US cities, to talk to ibonauts about being providers. I guess it's looking like end of summer, and i sure don't have all the details, but talk to me if you are curious-interested. Did you know there are only 6 female providers in the frikkin world? That one cracked my head. I hate feeling special, lol, was thinking im one of just so many in the US. This is also my open invitation and request. invitation for any of y'all to come assist in a tx im doing, and a request to be invited to the same. It makes a huge difference to work other than solitary. Each one, teach one. Let's make it more than six!! I know i was called to do this work long before i ate iboga, maybe you feel just the same. I am working on IbogaWest, but i don't know what it is yet, lol. Whaddya think?

Edited to take out a name not my own.
