General Discussion / Re: What do you do for a living?

I am a professional forager. Not as in checks or passports, medicinal plants and mushrooms. Wandering around in the woods is my job. You all have every right to be jealous.

I'm glad to hear such divergent opinions about micro-dosing, I think it just really reinforces the fact that the action of any plant or drug is very much subject to the psychology of the person using it.

I'm kind of in the middle with micro-dosing. I do actually enjoy the 'psychedelic' state(if that's even what you can call it with iboga), and am a great fan of micro-dosing in general. However after a week or so of daily use I find myself going a little crazy.

Back when I was trying to quit opiates I was taking plenty of iboga; flooding then micro dosing, flooding again, going on micro schedules again, fairly intensely over a period of months. I had varying degrees of success abstaining, but ultimately had to stop taking iboga for a good while. It was just becoming too much, and was starting to feel like I was losing my mind.

That was over a year ago and recently I started doing a few days of micros here and there to try to cut back my opium intake(with varying degrees of success), but I enjoy it like I used to and feel quite sane. Everyone has their limits.

Maybe we ought to keep that IW info reserved to PM, lest it doesn't arrive at anybodies door anymore.  :-X

Yep! Exact same experience here. I actually enjoy it, it makes me very thoughtful, but not an ideal state to do your taxes or homework.

Yeah, that's what I worry about. The doses suggested for alleviating symptoms are very high, and lopermaide is a fairly strong full agonist.

So I won't go too deep into the self shaming, but here I am again, after 5 floods and scores of microdoses back on the opium. I have a bit of TA on hand, but not nearly enough for a flood. I have been reading a great deal about using loperamide(immodium) to ease withdrawal and I was wondering if anyone has ever taken micro doses with this drug?

I saw this too and I really don't understand... I haven't dealt with this particular supplier, but I have heard several good reviews about him. The original poster just seems to be upset someone is competing with him, or am I missing a larger picture here?

Here is Sara's post from the 'Ibogaine universe' facebook club:
"since the newspaper of The Netherlands , slander me for a witch on the front page, few Ibogaine providers were in a chat room to make me look bad spread lies, talking to
my ex client who lives near by, who came with a sharp knife to kill me at my home, calling that he was going to kill me,broke many windows and then got caught by the police.
Bram by son of 14 was at home and called the police, but he lives in fear that there are more of these kind of madness that control the people who read what Marc E. wrote about me and newspapers. my neighbors who i told about the threats called the Police just as the ex client arrived. The ex client had a Tarot cards reading, and he claims that they showed him that I was a bad witch and had to be murdered.

Before that happened the police came into m...y house to check if I was doing any treatments. so I told then about the death threat.

anyway, I was holding a bottle of chlorine ready to spray his eyes and face with and my own kitchen knife to stub him if he will try to get into my home. the is two window glasses by each window and he managed to brake only the outside glass, not the inner glass. so we were saved, protected but still in shock. That was yesterday. now we go on and we will have a new glass tomorrow. the people are very supportive who live around me, and who could see people coming and going out of my house for 12 years, had no problems."

Eboka Talk / Re: Second day microdosing

I don't know about taking it everyday. Personally I find that it builds up in the system and rather than taking an increasing dose, I would consider taking less and less. Or even maybe the same dose every other day.

Oh yes! My favorite is psilocybe/iboga mix, but LSD is also very nice. B. Caapi is very good as well...

General Discussion / Re: Going for the flood on wednesday
« on: November 17, 2011, 09:42:14 PM »
Your mood does matter, but I have found what sort of ideas you are putting in your head on the day of flooding can have the biggest effect on the trip.

Each time I flooded I spent the day leading up to the experience watching movies or reading magazines etc. The 'theme' of the flood was always dictated by the theme of the material I was exposing myself to.

My first flood I had been reading and watching videos on alchemy, hermeticism, etc. And my trip was all about these things.

My fourth and biggest flood the last magazine article I read before taking the iboga was a lengthy Rolling Stone piece about the Mexican drug cartels. I had kind of a messed up trip because of it, much of it took place in urban Mexico(where I have never visited) and involved guns, drugs, government agents and cartel members. It was pretty wild.

My wife had a similar experience where the last thing she watched before flooding was an episode of 'The Shield'. I don't know if you have ever seen the show, but it is pretty intense, violent and generally negative. All of those themes showed up in her 'iboga dream'(calling it a trip kind of cheapens it, doesn't it).

So the moral of the story is: try to have a nice positive, relaxing day reading the book of Tao, smoking weed and meditating before you lie down to meet Papa Eboga. Spend the day sitting in the woods watching squirrels play if you can.

Eboka Preparations & Extractions / Re: Syrian Rue helps with ibogaine?
« on: April 08, 2011, 09:17:32 AM »
It is rather hard to describe the effects. I'm not sure if it increases the visuals a great deal, but it does add a 'ibogish' sort of character to them. The same with the mental effects, it may not really increase them, but just puts a very positive spin on the entire trip.

I find I can take maybe 1/8g of TA and just a few mushroom caps (like maybe .25g) and it is as strong a trip as if I had taken 2g of just mushrooms or 1/3g+ TA.
