It's not dumb! Counterintuitively, it's a lot easier to be factually honest anonymously than when you have your identity tacked onto what you say.

I think people are gravitating towards the facebook groups because it's more convenient and something about shortening attention spans and instant gratification. Not wanting to think in depth about things, just wanting the quick fix.

It sounds like you should be fine. I personally am against using xanax during a flood, more for spiritual reasons than safety reasons. 24hrs before should be fine, just don't take something else while iboga is in your system. And remember, once you take iboga it is IN your system for a LONG time. We're talking 4-8 weeks, because it gets converted into noribogaine which stays in your system for about that long.

Thank you for clarifying on the nature of your substance use. I know it isn't easy to be frank about it. I take back my wording of "physically addicted."

I wouldn't worry about having "zero spirituality." In some sense, iboga isn't even spiritual. It can be very practical. It can offer insight that is very direct, matter-of-fact, no frills, etc. And it may not even seem like it's coming from an outside source. Indeed, it is you who will (hopefully) do the realizing, or perhaps the un-learning of patterns that got you into this mess in the first place.

In my not-so-humble internet-stranger's opinion, you do not NEED to get an EKG or liver panel test before you microdose, especially if your physical body is pretty much healthy.

Most of the iboga/ibogaine deaths/complications come from people accidentally or stupidly mixing other substances with iboga. "Whoops, I did a line of cocaine while on iboga!" "Whoops, I couldn't deal with the emotional pain on iboga so I went for my "trusty" opioids!" That'll kill you.

That's one of the reasons why, if you want to go deep with iboga, you need a sitter present to prevent those things from happening and/or give moral support.

Good luck, and have fun!!

So yeah, BlueTiger and I are on the same page. Quit Kava and Kratom well before introducing iboga.

And do your research on the half-lives of your other meds.

You might be addicted if you need kava and kratom to function. It's not a bad thing, it's just a physical dependency.

If you want to get the most insight out of your iboga, you have to stop "functioning," whatever that is (don't die) going into the iboga space. It is possible that whatever you consider as functioning could be the wrong path (making your anxiety worse) for you. Iboga will help you figure that out.

Staying Clean / Re: Intermittent Fasting and Ketogenic Lifestyle

"Cures all chronic disease..."

This is kinda BS.

Keto is not for everyone. I did keto for a year and my RA did not go away. Stuff is more complicated than that.

But intermittent fasting is super healthful.

From what I hear, Gratefuldad is alive and well. And from a quick glance at the Kambo forum, it looks like it's just as active as this one.

Try less MJ when on iboga. A little goes a faaar way when microdosing.

Unfortunately I still didn’t receive the TA I ordered from IW and didn’t take any iboga to report about. They claim that the order has been returned and that they have resend it again to me although I can’t trace it with the tracking number provided. I guess I have been ripped off. I will update it if I receive it anyway. However iam thinking about selling my car to go for a retreat.

How is that being ripped off? What would be being ripped off is if they said, "Oops, sorry it got lost in the mail!" But they said it got returned to them, and now they are resending. IW is pretty reliable in my experience.

Kratom is still an opioid, and it's relatively new to the Western world, so there isn't a lot of research/experience to speak of. Maybe it's not as dangerous as say, heroin, but that doesn't mean kratom is safe to combine with iboga, even at small doses. Same stuff could be said about phenibut.

This is largely uncharted territory.

Weed+iboga can be very powerful. In my experience, it's like couch lock times a bajillion. It can make time seem reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally slow, and make you just wanna curl up in a ball in a hole inside a cave. The first couple times I did it, even in tiny doses, I felt too stoned to form a complete sentence in my own brain. : P

This is dangerous territory, in my estimation. I don't have any experience with using those substances, but iboga and those other drugs (not weed) have bad interactions at any dose. It's just that at a smaller dose, the bad interaction will be not as strong, but it will still be there.

What you're describing here some people call "dirty maintenance." It's tricky territory from what I hear. Please be safe. I encourage you to wean yourself off those drugs beforehand with the faith that iboga will help with the withdrawals and make life without drugs more livable.

I personally have had no experience with homeopathic iboga delusions.

Ahem

Dilutions.

Introductions / Re: Iboga for 90G Kratom addiction.

Do the research on the half-lives of everything you're taking and make sure the substances are basically out of your body before doing the iboga.

Also, how much do you weigh? Because 2.5g of TA would be a full flood dose for me... that's a LOT. 0.5g (500mg) is more of a booster dose in my opinion.

Good luck!!

It would be effective, but since it is an extract, you have to be extra careful with dosing. The difference between not enough and too much could be a matter of milligrams. It's a lot easier to microdose with rootbark, because you're working with more material. Plus I think it's better, since you really get ALL of the active constituents of the rootbark, not just what came through in the extraction.

It'll work, but you gotta start reeeeally small, because doing more iboga than you intended to can be really stressful.
