common medicinal foods

Not all medicine comes from a faraway jungle. Being healthy and so called "well-being" begins with your everyday meals. Here is a little index of some of my favorite food ingredients and links to some of their medicinal properties. Feel free to add more in!

onion:

celery:

garlic:

tumeric:

ginger:

chillis:

saffron:

black pepper:

Many of these have a broad range of effects from improving mood, fighting cancer, treating heart disease, preventing diabetes, improving immune system function and more. Along with eating healthy medicines I advise to stop eating poisons such as partially hydrogenated oils and unpronounceable preservatives.

I firmly believe all the medicine you need is within arms reach. open your spice cabinet!

peace

ps. they taste gud

I almost forgot fish oil! Reportedly it improves mood, reduces anxiety, reduces inflammation, and more. Eating fish oil supplements or oily fish periodically has cured seemingly untreatable cases of depression in anecdotal cases.

By all means, RS. It would also be nice if you could add a comment or link about what they are supposed to be good for, or how you find them helpful personally. Thanks :)
