Tree of Knowledge? I thought that was the evil tree?
« on: February 25, 2012, 11:41:20 PM »
Anyone else ever figure that out?

Iboga is the tree of knowledge from the bible, right? (Or so the theory goes)

But the tree of knowledge is what got us kicked out of the garden of eden...

I fail to see why iboga is good for us if it is the tree of knowledge?

Not that I believe in Genesis exactly, or any religious stuff for that matter... but I'm curious about this.

Religions are myths, that are very open to interpretation.  I am not sure who thinks this or why they think iboga is the tree of knowledge, that Adam (coerced by Eve, who was tricked by a snake) supposedly ate the apple from.  However, to think the tree of knowledge is bad, and to believe these metaphors literally, it still leaves one to wonder, is life horrible and evil, since that is what eating from the tree gave them?
