seven weeks and crawling back
« on: October 02, 2012, 01:18:02 PM »
It's been seven weeks since I did the flood and I think I'm crawling back to feeling "normal ". As has been suggested by some here, feeling normal doesn't mean feeling like $1 million. It means having the same fatigue and anxiety as the rest of the people in this world. It's a matter of adjusting expectations. By that standard, I am getting back to normal. Having just a little more energy every day. Not by leaps and bounds, but little bits at a time. Just having the ability to laugh at things is appreciated. Not having to fake being happy is a big improvement. Have been exercising, eating good and sleeping well. I have been back in the office 3 to 4 hours per day. I can come home and take a nap for an hour and then work on some files or do some chores around the house for several hours. Been getting to bed earlier than I ever have in my life. I'm talking about 8 or 9 PM and I'm out like a light. I hope everyone is well.
