Psilohuasca
« on: June 25, 2013, 08:12:59 AM »
Hi, What is Psilohuasca? Its just a word creation which is used to describe a combination of Psilocin containing mushrooms and a MAO inhibiting plant source.
The main differences between Ayahuasca and Psilohuasca are:
- Psilohuasca is 3-4 hours longer active, lasting between 7-9hours until you're 'back to normal'.
- The MAOI is taken 1 hour before the Psilocin, so you feel the tranquilizing and clearing effects of the Harmine/Harmaline before you take the mushrooms and this helps to reduce anxiety and nausea. Also the first effects of the Psilocin can start very soon, much sooner than with an Ayahuasca brew (which contains both- the MAOi and the DMT).
There is usually no purging with Psilohuasca, since you don't have any awful cooked down plant material in your stomach. Even if you try to vomit, very less can leave your body since the amount of seeds & shrooms is so low. That is positive since you are forced to let go and to give into the experience more deeply, there is no psychological effect from the vomitting on your fighting ego. But therefore its crucial to take the right dose (as advised by someone who knows the source and their effects), if one is travelling the first time in these spheres. Advanced users can benefit very much from Psilohuasca since they can let themselves fall totally into the experience and no nausea will hold them back. Also Psilocin is the more potent molecule compared to DMT, so less is needed to experience the full potential of it.

wow, that has got to be some breakthrough! even if not the first to try this, you just gave accurate words to a new beginning, i feel this is a birth certificate! bless!
in a universe like ours, to beings like us, the idea of a god dying can be quite liberating

I agree Mo, Wow!  I have never heard of this before.....sounds incredible. And the post is written very well.  Almost like a psychonaut's pamphlet.

Have you done this Beh?

For someone who has never done anything with an MAO inhibiting plant source, what would the most gentle be for this type of mix?

I being called to the 'MAO inhibiting plant source'...I think...the "huasca"

I have my intentions  :)

No have not done it but i will in the future the mao must be consumed 1 hour before, let's say harmala seeds , after you can ingest the shrooms. I read it and thought to share it because it is very interesting. Anyway, i am glad you liked it. I can give more info if you like.

It's not new. MAOIs can potentiate many substances. I personally am a fan of using mescaline and MAOI together.

Hello. I am just curious why you took these words from www.psilohuasca.com and posted them as your own? Thanks in advance.

I have done this a few times, both with Syrian rue and ayahuasca (B. caapi vine) proceeding mushrooms, and this has produced some of my deepest and most profound experiences. My only hypersapce entity thus far (amazing bioluminescent shimmering octopus that tried to communicate it seemed by spurting out patterns at me!) came with this combo (namely a few grams of Syrian rue and 10g fresh Hawaiian Pan cyan mushrooms. A few times I've also combined B. caapi brew with mushrooms and DMT extract for a full on tryptamine odyssey to the deep oceanic depths of hyperspace (recommended for experienced psychonauts only).

Do be careful with the dosage on this, a few mushrooms go a long way, and from personal experience I prefer making a tea with either caapi or the rue, it feels a lot smoother on the body than ingesting plant matter whole...alkaloid extracts can also be consumed with great effect but I find these don't take me quite as deep as the freshly brewed plants. If brewing rue tea and unable to get past the taste, simply mix with a little grapefruit juice, being bitter already it works wonder for masking the taste. Psilohuasca can be a VERY blissful experience, but also psychotherapeutically intense, so do play heed to the ol' set and setting rule, it is quite a distinct experience and different beast from mushrooms alone.
