Microdosing for tolerance reduction
« on: April 06, 2018, 11:34:30 AM »
Hey guys,

Over the past few weeks I've been reading as much as I could find about iboga and finally ordered some root bark. As I can't afford a flood dose under medical supervision, I'll give microdosing a try. I'll start at 300mg and increase to as much as I can handle. To get the most out of it I'll take some curcumin with piperine before each dose.

I'm doing this in hopes it will lower my tolerance, mainly for kratom and phenibut, but also for stimulants and weed. I've heard that Iboga doesn't do much for gabaergic substances but phenibut has a big impact on dopamine as well, so maybe I'll get some effects back.

I'm curious if it also helps with cravings. For now I can't imagine a life without drugs. Maybe iboga proves me wrong.

I know iboga can have dangerous interactions with drugs during a flood. But are there any drugs that should be avoided when microdosing?

If someone of you has already tried microdosing for tolerance reduction, please feel free to share your experience. Otherwise I'll keep you updated on my progress.

This is dangerous territory, in my estimation. I don't have any experience with using those substances, but iboga and those other drugs (not weed) have bad interactions at any dose. It's just that at a smaller dose, the bad interaction will be not as strong, but it will still be there.

What you're describing here some people call "dirty maintenance." It's tricky territory from what I hear. Please be safe. I encourage you to wean yourself off those drugs beforehand with the faith that iboga will help with the withdrawals and make life without drugs more livable.

I understand the problem with harder opiats, but kratom? No one died from respiratory depression caused by kratom. And as benzos aren't a concern, I hardly doubt phenibut is a problem. I haven't read much about stimulants though except someone who mentioned caffeine synergizes well with iboga. Should I ever touch an amphetamine, I would take the smallest amount possible and none that effects serotonin in any way.

Btw. is it true weed potentiates ibogaine? Someone claimed a single hit on his bong made his microdose almost feel like a flood dose.

Kratom is still an opioid, and it's relatively new to the Western world, so there isn't a lot of research/experience to speak of. Maybe it's not as dangerous as say, heroin, but that doesn't mean kratom is safe to combine with iboga, even at small doses. Same stuff could be said about phenibut.

This is largely uncharted territory.

Weed+iboga can be very powerful. In my experience, it's like couch lock times a bajillion. It can make time seem reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally slow, and make you just wanna curl up in a ball in a hole inside a cave. The first couple times I did it, even in tiny doses, I felt too stoned to form a complete sentence in my own brain. : P

Sounds like it potentiated the weed kind a bit. What was your dosage when you combined it with weed? And did you find the overall effect of iboga more effective in combination?

Day 1:

300mg root bark in the morning + 200mg an hour after

Other psychoactive drugs during the day: kratom, phenibut, caffeine, nicotine

No adverse effects, just a little bit more stimulated. Will report back tomorrow

Edit: Smoked some weed before bed and it was potentiated a lot! I haven't been this high for ages. I was still quite stimulated, but the weed knocked me down and I slept perfectly fine.
