What defines a successful treatment? That's the best question I've heard in a long time...

Total abstinence? I don't think so, necessarily. In fact I think that's unusual. More often than not - what I've seen and heard is that folks will report that the drugs don't feel good any longer, etc. Introspection and a connection to living, in themselves are worthy enough for success...Most people using this for addiction interruption will relapse at least once. The difference is that knee-jerk reaction is replaced by wide eyed honesty and a conscientiousness that was not present before. The power of choice is returned to us. We can again be human beings.
