Welcome!

Y'all must be from the same place. This is a fine, friendly forum, no hierarchies, no drama. Just helpful people sharing experiences on a variety of topics.

Next time you pop in to look, please say hi! It only takes a couple minutes to register, and your input is valuable.

Blind love to all,
T

67 people on Feb. 18th.
Who notifies the group who peeks?
What do they come looking for?

Hi group! I personally invite you to distinguish yourself from the mass and introduce.

Cal? What about a forum where you have to have a log in to look in?

I know for me personally, I've kinda shown my ass here. And it's not that hard to figger out who I am.

Talk to me, bruddermine.

Amen Cal ,
I agree with Tia .
Its always the same forum members chatting it up . never anyone else .
Its kinda creepy that there are all these visitors and members whom never say anything .
flies on the walls . I dont know why people are always so interested in where the eboka comes from either.
If you want to do this you can .
everything else , so far as the details should be kept private or on a need to know basis(meaning you are going to do it) and now need to know .
I know that there is a group of people here that do communicate on the phone directly with each other.
I think that is great also - i encourage more of it .
I plan on getting to know some of the forums members better over this upcoming year.
I also plan on doing my 2nd flood in a couple of months also.
I hope to maybe have some forum friends there when i do too !
I would like to be a part of this experience with other Forum members also.
There has been alot of chatter about a summer get together out west  .
how does that sound people ?
i know  that there are already about four of us that kinda are making plans .
why not pull resources and get this diy eboka summer thing together ?
we could meet as we do in this forum but for real !
Talk Eboka , do Eboka .
Camp Eboka ?
i must get sleep .
my love to you all and goodnight

The big spikes of 'people' may not be people at all.  It could be a 'bot' using a pool of IP addresses to capture all info on the site.  Google, for one, uses bots to collect the information that is presented to searchers.

The way to determine what is really going on is to look in the server logs for that period (if they are being saved, of course).

Hey Cal ! ! !    Can you see if our mysterious benefactor, Mr. Pk Effect, is able to scan the logs?  If the ones from previous spikes are gone, we can notify him quick-like next time it happens.

Wouldn't it be a plum bummer if the IP addresses belonged to our Beloved Big Brother?

The highest numbers are certainly generated from bots...there are only a few 'genuine' guests that come in, take a peek - and either decide it's not for them - or do not feel like signing up yet for whatever reasons. I'll look deeper into it ASAP.

The forum is backed up on a daily basis off site - automatically. No need for alarm, bots scan the site, not logs. We could keep them out but they help with page rankings on search engines - they won't be posting spam or anything. They are from google, yahoo, AOL, etc.

The logs are just actions taking place on the board: so and so signed up, such and such was deleted, etc. No bots in the logs. Fuck Big Brother...he ain't wanted here. Besides, nobody breaks any laws and all of our papers are in order... :P

This is all very typical internet protocol and I want you all to feel safe and be comfortable here. PK knows his stuff and I assure you he is on top of this. Were anything untoward to happen it would be remedied post haste - he has been at it for years on end and knows all the tricks of the trade. Thanks for bringing these concerns up and if you have more let me know. Rest assured I do everything possible to make our security a prime focus - that goes for each and everyone here.

Ah, okay.

I will stop looking for nefariousness. ;)

Camp Eboka. OMG. Perfect.
It can't be any other name.

Talk, do and be in Eboka.
Yes!
A billion places possible, though my beloved Joshua Tree becomes uninhabitable for most humans in the summer.
I'll travel, and can also suggest many, many places in California.

Harvey, how about a new thread?
I have slacked on calling you. Just saw my husband off to Georgia, we are taking a break for a couple years while he does some soul searching. Precipitating events have been my excuse.
*sniff*sigh*
But I'm strong and now it can only get better.

Okay, no groups of people spying, Camp Eboka in the summer, friends all around me. I'm cool.
